Drawing inspiration from the heat of its creation, the Smoke and Fire series embodies the flame that the glassblowing process works so closely with. Vases are a personal favorite of mine that can truly allow creativity to flow through a variety of forms and sizes.

Underwater Bowl





As a visual and conceptual foil to the Smoke and Fire series the Underwater series trades the striking flames for a subtle and gentle fade of light filtering through water. 


The process calls directly to this idea as well, as the hot glass is dunked into water causing it to steam and crackle. An extra layer of clear glass over the top softens the effect.





Although an ornament may seem like a simple sphere that makes it all the better as a blank canvas. Glass color can be a strange idea to grasp. One does not simply mix pigments on a palette, but instead works with different metals and elements that are infused into glass. They can come in an assortment of different sizes.
